~Beginnings~
T-minus 3 months, 10 days until I will be in York.
It's stunning how time is flying! Already a month has gone by since I was accepted to the Discipleship Training School (DTS) at the YWAM base there. Time is a strange concept.
At this point, demons of despair (how will I pay?), doubt (is this really God's will?), and worry (what if I get sick/hurt/homesick?) are really working on me. I have never placed myself in a place where I have to rely on God so much before, and let me tell you, it is not easy! Each morning, I have to release my worries to Him. Matthew 6:25-34 really helps! This is the beginning of a new, good habit, I hope!
I feel like I have so much to do, and in so little time! Furniture and possesions need to be sold or given away, my dog needs a new home (sad face!), a visa and vaccinatons (ew) need to be obtained, etc. I'm still working full time, and trying to cram in as much time with friends and family as I can! Life is busy, but exciting.
I am looking forward to seeing God provide!
PS: If you are wondering about the title of this blog, here's the scoop. An aria is a type of song, usually in an opera if I am not mistaken. I have never heard an aria that I know of, but I find the word to be beautiful and musical in its own way. I want my life to be a sweet song for my Lord, hence Sweet Aria!

Rachael,
Proud of what you are doing! Know that your family is praying for you. Hope things are going well and you are meeting some incredible people. I also wanted to ask you if it were ok for me to forward this blog to a friend of ours. He's interested in YWAM. He was the best man at our wedding, he's 50, and trying to go where the Lord leads him. Guess you're never to old to answer God's call:-)
Well, I look forward to hearing about your journey! Love you!
Aunt Myka
