In Which A New Beginning Draws Near
Hello, friends!
Here I am, back in Texas. A lot of people have asked me if I like being home, or say "isn't it nice to be home?" I answer those with a emphatic yes... and a definite no. I love being around my family and those who have supported me, don't get me wrong.
Here in the US, it is so easy to be self-reliant and forget about the wonderful Savior from whom all good things are given.
I constantly have to remind myself to give thanks, to even acknowledge that God is still here, active in my life. When I was gone, I had to be dependent on God. Now I'm home, and I have a job, and my parents are letting me live at home, and it's easy to lose focus.
Another question I get a lot is "are you home for good now?" The answer to that is no! By God's grace I applied and was accepted to become a member of staff at YWAM Tokyo. I am super excited! You may remember an earlier post about Japan. I am thrilled that God is allowing me to be His messenger in the land of the rising sun.
Why Japan? I'm so glad you asked! Please, take the time to watch this video. (I apologize for the poor quality!)

If you are unable to watch the video, here are some of the facts that are listed within:
- Japan has 127 million people, and 0.01% know Jesus
- There is only one church for every 16,293 people
- There is only one missionary for every 56,820 people
- 34,427 Japanese took their own lives last year
- 11% of Japanese people wish they had never been born
- 85% of teens in Japan wonder why the exist
These are staggering numbers. Every time I watch this video, I begin to cry as my heart breaks again for these people who are so lost.
Please be praying for me as I begin to apply for a visa and raise support!
